Please join us for a special screening of THE DIAMOND KING on Sunday, April 27 at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop) in Seattle. Your ticket includes entry to the museum, so guests can stay all day. There will be a panel discussion with the film team after the screening, a small exhibit of Dick’s work including prints of the 15 Seattle Mariners Diamond Kings he created between 1982-1996, and a reception with light bites and bar. Kansas City area friends, please join us on Wednesday November 20 for a special sneak peek work-in-progress screening of THE DIAMOND KING at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum! The film will begin at 6pm and be followed by a Q&A with Dick Perez, director Marq Evans, and the writer of the film’s narration, bestselling author Joe Posnanski. This free event is hosted by NLBM President Bob Kendrick. Seating is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot now.

The National Pastime’s colorful history is brought to the big screen with a work-in-progress screening of “The Diamond King” feature-length documentary film, screened on Friday, Sept. 6, in the Grandstand Theater at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
The film features the works of Dick Perez, the official artist of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum for more than 20 years whose paintings of Hall of Famers, ballparks and players throughout the game’s history have captured the essence of the sport for decades.
Perez, whose paintings were featured in the renowned Donruss Diamond Kings baseball cards from 1982-96, continues to illustrate baseball for fans throughout the world. “The Diamond King” tells his story and allows viewers to enjoy the history of the game through his eyes.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Marq Evans, “The Diamond King” will begin at 2 p.m. in the Museum’s Grandstand Theater, and admission to the film is included with Museum admission. The screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Evans and Perez.

Attendees of the 52nd SABR Convention will have special access to a sneak peek work-in-progress screening of the Dick Perez documentary, THE DIAMOND KING. Mr. Perez is the recipient of the 2024 Jefferson Burdick award which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the baseball card hobby. He will be on hand to accept his award, which will be followed by the screening and a Q&A afterwards with Mr. Perez and the filmmaker Marq Evans.
Each attendee will receive a complimentary The Diamond King x SABR 52 commemorative ticket.

SHOW 1
You won’t want to miss this exclusive sneak peek work-in-progress screening of THE DIAMOND KING at the 44th National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. The documentary featuring Dick Perez, the most celebrated artist in the history of baseball, takes place Friday night July 26th at 6:30pm at the I-X Center’s first floor ballroom.
Each attendee will receive a complimentary The Diamond King x NSCC commemorative ticket.
Seating space is limited to only 250 guest and will be based on a first come - first served entry on site within the I-X Center.
